It’s all go up North, [in Northern Ireland], for Hollywood stars. Tom Hanks paid a not-so hush-hush visit to Belfast as part of his movie-making in the city where his Playtone Productions outfit is making City of Ember for the next 14 weeks. He was, says a colleague, impressed at what he saw of the place while meeting and greeting the cast and crew of the $30m children’s sci-fi movie.
