A fight is under way for the right to keep some sets used in the filming of the movie Charlotte’s Web.
The movie, which follows the story of a talking pig fighting to save his own life with the help of a benevolent spider, was filmed in the Moorabool Shire in 2004.
Planning approval was given for the construction of several sets, which were to be pulled down after filming.
Now one Greendale landowner, whose property hosted two barns built for the film, wants them to stay.
He has applied for planning approval to keep the sheds for storage.
Objectors have written to the Moorabool Council, concerned the barns may become tourist attractions and say with their American-style architecture they do not fit with the district’s character.
Council will decide on the matter tomorrow night.
