The newly created marketing venture between 20th Century Fox and Walden Media is beefing up its staff.
Joining Fox-Walden marketing prexy Jeffrey Godsick are Eric Alan, senior VP of creative advertising; Heather Johnson Phillips, senior VP of publicity; Lisa Bay Adams, VP of marketing and promotions; and Jason Rein, director of creative content.
Unveiled last summer, Fox-Walden will specialize in the marketing of mostly PG-rated family films produced by Fox and Walden. Fox will distribute all the pics the company markets.
Fox-Walden’s first release will be “The Dark Is Rising,” a feature adaptation of Susan Cooper’s novel series directed by David Cunningham and produced by Marc Platt. Pic will be released Sept. 28.
Company will also market “Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium,” a Mandate Pictures co-production directed by Zach Helm and starring Dustin Hoffman and Natalie Portman.
Alan previously served as creative director at Trailer Park, where he worked on theatrical and TV campaigns for Pixar, Disney, Paramount, Fox and Sony. He also served as creative director and exec producer at Nickelodeon Movies. Before joining Nick, Alan was exec director of branding at ABC and a senior producer at FX.
