Abigail Breslin Named ShoWest Star of Tomorrow

Abigail Breslin, 11, was presented with ShoWest’s female star of tomorrow award at the convention’s closing-night ceremony in Las Vegas.

Breslin, known for her breakout performance in “Little Miss Sunshine,” will next be seen in “Nim’s Island” alongside Jodie Foster. She also plays the title role in “Kit Kittredge: An American Girl,” which brings the American Doll line to the bigscreen. She made her big screen debut in M. Night Shyamalan’s Signs.

The most recent winners of the award are Emma Roberts, Jennifer Hudson and Jessica Biel.
