Sony Plans ‘Water Horse’ Blu-ray for April

In an early alert to retailers, Sony has revealed an April Blu-ray arrival for the fantasy-adventure ‘The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep.’

The family-friendly tale of a young boy who discovers the world-famous Loch Ness monster, ‘Water Horse’ was given only a limited release in the U.S. this past holiday season, where it failed to generate much box office thunder.

Loaded with high-def ready CGI, Sony will give the Jay Russell-directed tale another shot on April 1 when it debuts the film on Blu-ray, day-and-date with the standard DVD version.

There were no tech specs or supplement details available yet for ‘Water Horse’ at press time, but the full media release is due in the next week. We’ll keep you posted.

Suggested retail for the Blu-ray has been set at $38.95.
