Peacock, AnnaSophia set for ‘White Giraffe’

Ann Peacock is attached to adapt Lauren St. John children’s tome “The White Giraffe” for Walden Media. Pic will be released under the Fox Walden banner.

Also attached is child actor AnnaSophia Robb. Project would reunite her with helmer Gabor Csupo, with whom she worked on “Bridge to Terabithia.”

“Giraffe” revolves around a young British orphan who is sent to live with her grandfather on a South African wild preserve. Her life is changed forever when she sets out to discover the truth about a fabled and mysterious white giraffe.

Peacock, who adapted “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe,” has two pics in production: “Nights in Rodanthe” at Warner Bros. and “Kit Kittredge: An American Girl Mystery” for HBO Films and Picturehouse.

Robb’s upcoming credits include “The Reaping” and “Ferris Wheel.” Previous films include Tim Burton’s “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.”
